friend: how many AU's you want
me: Just fuck me up
She emitted a soft humming sound, an expression of pleasure at the girl’s many adventures without interrupting the flow of thought. The elder vampiress squeezed Ava’s shoulders in her arms as she spoke, gently brushing locks of blonde hair from her face. “How lovely.” She knew that her sister would do well there. Ava was always artistic, or, at the very least, drawn to the artistic. “How inspirational!” She had hoped that being around such vibrancy would instill more of an appreciation for life within her, more of reverence.
“Secrets? How intriguing. Have you eaten?” She held the girl at an arm’s length, trying to discern the younger woman’s pallor. Ava would be hungry regardless, such was the thirst of youth. It was her constant prayer that the girl would learn some kind of moderation, but that was something that would only come with time. Time and perhaps a stronger will.
Ava beamed, both proud of herself and soothed by her sister’s calm, ethereal presence, and her words of validation and praise. There were few things that could truly tame the younger’s zeal, but there was a certain something about Eve that could quiet the minds and souls of everyone around her. Even Ava, vivacious as she was, was not immune to her elder sister’s calming aura; especially knowing that Eve was the only person Ava had that she truly considered family.
“Yeah, I remembered to eat before I came over, this time,” she answered with a nod, her wide smile lingering as she spoke. “Just in case. I think I’m getting better, don’t you?” It was true, Ava’s hunger could only be satiated for so long, but she’d had the foresight to prepare, on the chance that her brother-in-law might have been around.
"Look at me. I promise, I'll get you out of here."
Ava drew a breath, staring at the girl with pale, almost metallic eyes. She’d been looking for trouble to start with, but now the young vampiress found herself in over her head for the first time. “How do I know I can trust you?” she asked her, keeping her voice low.
Oktober remained upstairs in the Coffin Club for the remainder of the evening. She had a few drinks and had fun but couldn’t help but wonder how Ava was holding up down in the dungeon. When light was about to break outside she returned back to her apartment downstairs from the Coffin Club and upstairs from the dungeon wondering if her friend would return. Yawning and stretching, the girl walked over to her couch and stretched out, beginning to unwind for a few minutes.
It was just before sunrise when Ava finally slipped back up into Oktober’s apartment, finding her new friend already there on the couch. “Hey,” she greeted her with a wide, toothy smile, carrying her high-heeled shoes in one hand as she made her way over to crouch on her knees beside the couch. “Now that was fun,” she told her excitedly, blue eyes shining. “That place is crazy, the best kind. Thank you so much for showing me this place, Oktober.” In spite of all her excitement, the vampiress stretched and yawned where she was sitting. “I am like, totally exhausted.”
"Really?" Eva asked with her curiosity piqued. "I can always ask my sister to see if there's an apartment room over where she lives that's vacant if you want. Neighbors might be a problem, though."
“For real?” Ava had to ask in return, her eyes growing a bit larger in pleasant surprise. “Aww, that’s so sweet of you! You can ask; even if there isn’t a spot, I appreciate the thought. I think I’ll be alright, either way. Thanks so much, doll!”
"Neither is the name Ava common where I hail from." He countered, eyes languidly moving from the pair of apparent sunglasses to her grinning, bright visage that coaxed his own involuntarily. Returning his attention to the devices In question, slender fingers opened the plastic, slim flaps before sliding them over his eyes, blinking a few times at the new, lowered setting of surroundings.
"I may get used to these sunglasses yet, and I suppose you’re wearing them specifically at night because they’re fashionable?” The skepticism was heavy in his Asgardian-lit tone, studying the small, blonde woman.
In spite of herself, Ava had to giggle as Loki almost experimentally put her sunglasses on; the modern accessory a stark contrast in comparison to the rest of his ensemble. She was becoming more and more curious about this man. Granted, at his inquiry, her smile became a bit more mischievous.
“Maybe,” she replied, equal parts coy and cryptic in her answer. “I have my own reasons for wearing them at night. If you’re still curious, you could always stick with me for a little while and see if you can find out.”
[text] Tee hee ;P
[text] :P
[text] Oh, okay! I honestly was thinking something else, but thanks for the clarification.
[text:] No worries, sugar! I may be unique, but even I’m not THAT special. ;)
[ sms ] always, babe.
[text:] I love that about you. I’m over two hundred years old, though, a ton of people have seen me naked.
beggarking replied to your post:[text] You leave a trail of fuck everywhere you go
[ sms ] trust me its a compliment. i’m into you aren’t i??
[text:] I know you are ;) On top of that, your phrasing sent my mind somewhere really dirty just now
[text] Figured as much. Wait, how do you know this? You some sort of psychic or something?
[text:] Not even. :P Every time I read a book or see a movie where someone can read minds, it always backfires on them.
[text] On second thought, good point. I'm probably thinking too much about it.
[text:] You’re human, it’s a natural thing for you to do. Trust me, it’s probably better that you can’t get into other people’s heads.
[ sms ] /i/ appreciate your body though
[text:] You jeeeeeeealous?
[text] You leave a trail of fuck everywhere you go
[text:] At this point, I’m starting to see it as an accomplishment. Especially since multiple definitions of ‘fuck’ apply.
[ sms ] for money, i presume? if you’re hurting for cash you can just ask, ava
[text:] Not this time, babe. It’s actually pretty hilarious; it’s an older picture of me, from like the nineties, I think? Long story. Anyways, it’s not actually on a porn site, somehow it ended up on this ‘body appreciation’ page. Crazy, right?
[text] The world would be so much better with thought bubbles.
[text:] Wouldn’t that pretty much be the same thing as mind reading, though?
beggarking:
[ sms ] that’s a loaded question. what corners of the internet?
[text:] Only the *mildly* seedy ones. If it’s any consolation, they cropped my face out.
