Meeting David Tennant was truly the highlight of my year oh my GOD

He was so unbelievably warm and kind

He made each and every person in my group feel special and listened to

He called my friend and me “my dears” when we went to take our photo (will be thinking about that for as long as I live)

He addressed us each by name at the autograph table and took time to chat with each of us, made eye contact when we talked, and was just so very kind the entire time

He listened attentively to all the questions at the panel and gave thoughtful answers to each ones even when some of them were confusing

I’m especially moved because he was literally on his feet for almost the entire day signing autographs, doing photo ops, talking at the panel, signing more autographs, while also probably dealing with jet lag and exhaustion (he was literally at a con in a different state yesterday), and he was still so very kind and attentive to every person he talked to and made us all feel so wonderful and special

Genuinely the most positive and wonderful experience I’ve ever had meeting an actor (and I like never do this stuff). It was literally even better than I had hoped it would be. It’s so nice to meet someone you admire and respect so much and find out they’re just as kind and genuine as you’d hoped they might be.

Anyway, all this to say, David Tennant is a true gift to this world, and I am so grateful that I finally got the chance to meet him, talk to him, and convey to him how grateful I am for his work and the impact it’s had on me both as a performer and a person. 💙
