Chloe Lukasiak talks dealing with 'stress and pressure' and whether she'd return to Dance Moms
Chloe Lukasiak catapulted to fame on Dance Moms and is now a successful dancer and actress with her first book on the way.
But the 15-year-old didn't get to where she is today overnight.
Chloe chatted to LAGoss.com at the premiere of her new movie A Cowgirl's Story about her upcoming book Girl On Pointe and why it's important that her fans know she struggles with "stress and pressure" just like everyone else.
"It's incredibly important, because there’s so much hard work that goes into everything that I’ve done," she told us. "And I just want them to know it’s not just something that’s handed to you, you have to work for it.
"There’s a lot of stress and a lot of pressure that you have to deal with. It’s hard work, it really is, and I just want to put the message out that they’re not alone. I deal with stress and pressure every day and it might not be similar or exactly the same as what they’re going through, but I still deal with it."
Chloe said the book will contain information about how she relaxes and remains "a normal teenager", and advice on "how to get through those bad days or bad weeks or bad months".
While the star has plenty to keep her busy with the new movie and her book, fans have been hoping she will return to Dance Moms now that Cheryl Burke has taken over from Abby Lee Miller.
Although Chloe couldn't divulge whether she'll be appearing on the show next season, she did hint that she has been dancing a lot recently.
"Cheryl’s really, really incredible," she said. "I’ve done a lot of dancing these past couple of weeks. And I’m just kind of trying to do it all right now. I really love acting, and I love dancing, and I’ve had such an incredible time working on this film so I’m just trying to balance it all."
Chloe plays the best friend of Bailee Madison's character in A Cowgirl's Story, and she says they are "great friends" in real life too.
The film centres on a girl who joins an equestrian drill team while her parents are serving in Afghanistan, and leans on her friends through this difficult time - a message that Chloe loves.
"Your friends are the ones that are always there for you," she told us. "And sometimes it’s really hard - especially in these businesses, it’s hard to have friends that you can really trust. And so I think having that great, strong relationship with one person or a lot of people is really important."
Chloe added: "It is true, some people do forget that there’s a war going on and that there’s other stuff bigger than our day to day lives. And I think faith and hope are so important - that plays a huge role in this film. And I really, really fell in love with this character."
A Cowgirl's Story is out on DVD and Digital on April 18th, and Girl On Pointe will be published in January 2018 and is available to preorder on Amazon now.
