The BOXBOYS - Early 80s L.A. Ska (by ONKlub)
The Boxboys were formed in Los Angeles in early 1979 when guitarist Monroe Monroe and drummer Greg Sowders quit their previous group, Knife Lust, shortly after winning radio station KROQ's Devo-Tee contest. They then decided to create a dance band that wasn't pretentious, and the Boxboys were born.
