Natalia Mallo

Nacida en Argentina, actualmente reside y trabaja en San Pablo, Brasil. Natalia Mallo se graduó en música en el Conservatorio Nacional de Bellas Artes, y cursó Ciencias de la Comunicación en la UBA (Universidad de Buenos Aires). En Brasil realizó varios cursos en las áreas de composición, harmonía, canto, instrumentos, ingeniería de sonido, clown, danza y actuación. Es cantante, performer, compositora, sound-artist y productora musical. Sus trabajos musicales personales totalizan 8 albunes, lanzados en Brasil, Europa, Estados Unidos y Japón. Además realiza producciones y compone para otros artistas. Desde el 2000 colabora regularmente con compañías de danza contemporánea (sobretodo con la premiada Cia Nova Dança 4, pionera en la investigación de la improvisación como lenguaje escénico). Actualmente, crea música para danza, teatro, cine y proyectos audiovisuales y participa en la concepción y dirección de espectáculos y performances. Directora de la cia. La Puerta y curadora del proyecto de danza Site-Specific del Museu da Imagem e do Som (MIS) en San Pablo.

SexyMapping

SexyMapping  inicia como una asociación creativa de arte electrónico y performático formada  por estudiantes del Centro de las Artes De San Luis Potosí, fundada por Alejandro Medina y P. Ivan Garcia  en Septiembre de 2012 teniendo su presentación oficial en el festival “LPM 2013” en la Ciudad de México, juntos han trabajado en distintos proyectos en ámbitos nacionales e internacionales, también han participado en residencias como parte de la red internacional de artistas de performance “INTERFERENCIAS” en Austria en 2012 presentándose en el festival Impulstanz 2012 en Vienna, así como en Brasil en 2013 colaborando en el proyecto de investigación “Interferencias Brasil 2013”  en Belo Horizonte, presentando la pieza “Light-Scape”. Su práctica se basaban en la creación y la investigación con los medios electrónicos y las artes escenográficas, buscando utilizar los dispositivos electrónicos y digitales como una extensión corporal para explotar al máximo sus funciones. Actualmente SexyMapping esta integrado por artistas y profesionistas de diferentes ámbitos, que en colaboración trabajan en diversos proyectos culturales y comerciales.

Condensación 2014

El sábado 13 de septiembre compartiremos el trabajo que hemos realizado estando en residencia en el Laboratorio Arte Alameda, son propuestas generadas mediante la experimentación el diálogo y el intercambio. Sin pretender que ofrecemos una forma terminada los invitamos a visitar este espacio de trabajo y experimentación pues la mirada y relación con el público también informará y alimentará nuestro proceso creativo al mismo tiempo que lo abrimos a la reflexión mediante una exposición pública. Aproximadamente 15 Artistas de México, Brasil, Uruguay, Austria, Finlandia, Alemania entre otros, nos reunimos entre el 1 y el 13 de septiembre para trabajar, experimentar y compartir distintos proyectos, utilizando herramientas y creando campos que transitan entre artes escénicas, sonido, voz como movimiento, intervención urbana con el cuerpo, neurociencia, video, artes visaules etc.  El Laboratorio: Condensación es un proyecto que busca la vinculación de artistas de diferentes campos de estudio y disciplinas Condensación tienen el objetivo de la creación y generación de materiales, información, data, contenidos, de una manera colaborativa, por medio de la interacción y el encuentro donde podamos generar manifestaciones vivas emergentes. Contamos con tres sedes a nivel latinoamericano. Se realizarán actividades en el 2014 y 2015 con el Laboratorio Arte Alameda en México, el Museu da Imagem e do Som en Sao Paolo Brasil y con el Programa de Artistas en Residencia y el Centro Cultural España en Montevideo Uruguay.

Judith Meister:

I was born in eastern Germany, in a country that doesn't exist anymore.  I have lived, absolved school education and studied in the south and east of Germany, a bit in Canada and the last 8 years in Vienna, Austria.

My true passion is film making and photography. Spending hours in the chemical fumes of a darkroom or being involved in an independant film production, collaborating with uncompetitive film makers and artists is one of the best things for me. The setting for this is usually the Kino-Movement for me. That's where i can learn and give and try out whatever i like.

Next to working practically i enjoy the theory of art and film a lot. 6 months ago i finished my Master in Film Theory, researching mainly on the intersection points of Fiction and Reality and the Politics of Images.

My main project right now is a Documentary/Essay film about Death rituals and the human aspiration to reach Immortality that i am shooting together with Samuli. That's why we will stay in Mexico until November, to shoot the celebrations of the Dia de los Muertos.

Samuli Salonen:

My name is Samuli and I come from Finland. First I was attracted by music, playing it and composing in different forms, mostly in the field of rock music. For me music and sounds are a source of endless inspiration and also a source of endless struggle to create something which attracts me and in the end someone else. I have studied music formally in music high school but not more than that. I would call myself a self-taught musician.

After music I found film which is now my profession and passion. I studied audio visual media in Helsinki and specialised in post production, mainly in editing. I love directing, doing cinematography, editing and combining different levels of storytelling with in visual world. The past three years i have been involved in the Kino Movement attracted by the free form and collaboration.

Melanie Maar 

Is a New York based dance artist originally from Vienna, Austria.

From 2008-14 she lived in a loft space in Brooklyn, that served as home, performance space, studio and community station.

Coming from a family of dancers and musicians Maar had an early start in following and questioning this relationship in the performative and private. 

Her father, being a Parkinson’s patient since she is a child, influenced her draw to empathize with the ‘abnormal’, as well as the ‘paranormal’ in her work.

Over the years she has formed various collaborations with musicians/composers, such as Kenta Nagai, Taylor Ho Bynum and Abraham Gomez-Delgado, Christian Schroeder, as well worked with Anthony Braxton in the ongoing Pine Top Aerial Project.

Since 2000 these experiences have shaped her improvisational performance practice and choreographies.

  Our Other her latest evening work premiered at Danspace Project in October 2013 and was the sequel to Same Selves, which was performed at Baryshnikov Art Center in 2012. Chocolate Factory Theater commissioned Spaces and Bones a collaboration with Kenta Nagai and was part of ImPuls Tanz in 2012.  Other pieces and happenings have been seen in various venues, galleries and lofts in New York, L.A., Vienna, Berlin, Oslo, Lisbon

Maar co- curated the Moving Sounds Festival for the Austrian Cultural Forum NY in 2013.

She also co-curated the 2010 Movement Research Festival HARDCORPS and was a 2006/2007 Movement Research Artist in Residence.

Maar is currently on the MR Artist Advisory Council.

Maar teaches regular Qi Gong classes and workshops for dancers based on awareness of sound, light, situation, meaning and movement in performance. Most recently for Movement Research and CLASSCLASS.

As a dancer Maar has worked with New York choreographer luciana achugar and RoseAnne Spradlin, Daria Fain, Walter Dundervill,

Levi Gonzalez and Luis Lara Malvacias among others. 

Mariana Vaz (São Paulo, Brazil)

Is an entrepreneur artist working in the contemporary art field, with an emphasis on performance, urban intervention, site specific art , theater and cinema directing. Co-creator, performer and researcher of Núcleo TRIADE (since 2007), with whom created, wrote screenplays and coordinated three editions of the site-specific and interactive performance ‘TRIADE Tour”.   Directed the theater plays : “Tão pesado quando o céu” , by Ricardo Inhan (2013) and “Vigília”, by Cássio Pires (2012) . Held the exhibition "Poleiro", an interactive installation in Sesi Piracicaba (2014). Carried out site-specific installation "BELVEDERE", at the Casa de D. Yaya in São Paulo (2013). Wrote, produced and directed the short film and video installation "How long does a heart to unfreeze”? (2011). Currently is producing a new  short movie - “O mordomo do Martinelli”- written and directed by her, to be launched by late 2015.

Taller, Catalizador de Intervenciones Urbanas Performaticas

Lunes a Viernes de 10 a 2pm Taller Gratuito, parte del programa Laboratorio: Condensación 2014 Impartido por Mariana Vaz (Brasil)  Taller teórico-práctico de intervención urbana, usando el cuerpo y objetos ligeros de fácil construcción y desmontaje, hechos con materiales reciclables. Taller de creación de Intervenciones coreográficas/performáticas del cual podrían participar artistas y no artistas.  La presentación final del taller será el día 13 de Septiembre en el Laboratorio de Arte Alameda y sus alrededores. LAURA RIOS (MX)

Coreógrafa, performer, investigadora y gestora cultural. Ha colaborado en diversos proyectos transdisciplinarios  con artistas del performance, arte sonoro y visual como Alain Kerriou, Doris Steinbichler, Lengua Blanca, entre otros. Vive en Cuernavaca donde ha generado desde 2005 con Antonio Russek y Meinolf Koessmeier, Kinetika  festival de la imagen sonora, corporal, auditiva y sensorial, creado con la convicción de que la acciones artísticas en sí mismas contienen una  poderosa herramienta de transformación política y social.  Está interesada en  el discurso que surge de la investigación de la relación  entre cuerpo, mente y emoción  a partir de estados de vacío y expansión, que detonan en cargas y rituales personales.  Es practicante de Topf y TAZ (Zonas Temporalmente Autónomas). Actualmente colabora con el artista holandés Robert Steijn en el proyecto Facing The Smell of Death

Matthias Lindenthal (Austria)

After school I started to work on interdisciplinary festivals focusing on theater and performing arts. Joining the Kino movement in 2007, when I moved to Vienna, marked my first contact with video production. I became what we kinoites call an “infected”. Kino to me is not just an opportunity to get involved in literally hundreds of video productions but also developing a new way of collective working methods and visual expressions. (Video-)post-production became the center of my work, especially compositing and animation. I have been organising several Kinokabarets in Vienna and one in Portugal at the filmfestival Fest last summer. Besides organizing i gave editing and compositing workshops at Kinokabarets, which i would love to continue at the Kinokabaret Mexico.

  Es un artista escénico, coreógrafo, educador y administrador de las artes con base en Nueva York, cuyo trabajo abarca danza, música (voz y violín) y teatro. El se ha presentado y enseñado internacionalmente en países que van desde Brasil hasta Serbia. También ha trabajado extensivamente con Meredith Monk, Jane Comfort, y en trabajos de  Ping Chong, Philip Glass y Mary Zimmerman

Taller Voz con Movimiento

Impartido por Peter Sciscioli (New York) Este taller tiene la intención de invitar a todos los interesados en explorar o utilizar la voz en el arte escénico. Atrayendo el enfoque hacia la respiración, la conciencia y un calentamiento físico básico, nos dirigimos hacia la generación del sonido desde la anatomía.  Varios ejercicios serán implementados para cultivar stamina, resonancia, rango, volumen y articulación. Exploraremos como la extensión del movimiento hacia el sonido puede alterar nuestra percepción y activar el espacio de una manera distinta que solamente el movimiento. Más adelante descubriremos como este juego interno puede expandir una variedad de opciones disponibles para los artistas escénicos, que permite una expresión y un contenido mas completo por medio del cuerpo. Esté taller es parte del programa artístico del Laboratorio: Condensación en su edición 2014.
