Murs (@MURS) | “316 Ways” | Produced By: Ski Beatz (@SkiBeatz)
With all of the buzz & excitement running around due to Murs’ upcoming album, “Have a Nice Life”, we have to look back on the G.O.A.T.’s discography. For those that truly love this hip hop shit, Murs is at the top of their favorite artist list. Murs is typically known for his deep lyrics & mellow flow, but he has been spitting Hot Bars ever since he & Slug first competed for Christina Ricci. These Hot Bars have given him the respect he deserves. These Hot Bars got him signed onto one of the most successful Hip Hop labels around, Strange Music. Happy Birthday Murs! There are 316 ways to kill the industry. Thank you for being a powerful voice in this world. God bless everybody trying to do right.
My Personal Favorite Bar(s):
“Fake love, fake hugs, fake thugs, fake blood They turn around and sell it to the public like they answers I’m just so appalled Especially now I got as much dough as y'all And I ain’t never had to kill nobody, never had to sell coke Spend it while you can, cause we all go to hell broke This morning had the world in my hands So I gave it to the meek but y'all wouldn’t understand”.
“And I'm amazed by the ignorance Money made y'all a bunch of million dollar idiots You still spending money on jewels I took my money out to Africa to build more schools And still got enough to take a cruise with my lady friend Pull up to your spot in a drop-top Mercedes Benz You see you give then you get back But I'mma be dead before you lames ever live that”.
All that.....@mynameisjabee @the_socialroom #DJLIFE #DOUGHGETTADJS #BIGMENACE #BIGMENACESTUDIO #label316

Tracklist Thursday!
When an artist announces an upcoming project it brings their fans excitement but that joy becomes real once details of the project are revealed such as album artwork and tracklisting. Today let’s examine two projects dropping next month solely on their artwork and tracklisting.
Coming to the world Nov. 11 is “Pterodactyl Jones” from Label 3:16, Curtiss King and Noa James.
According to Curtiss King, the artwork was done by Funky Garcia, Joe, & Lesa J.
The tracklisting gives fans the most honest glimpse into a project without actually listening to it. Looking at the tracklisting for “Pterodactyl Jones” it’s interesting to see the producers involved.
Curtiss King is known for his beats so the whole project could have been produced by himself but that’s not the case here. The majority of the beat making duties are handled by OhGoshLeotus, who has his hands on seven of the 12 tracks. Curtiss does produces four tracks while Captain, Flatlynerz, and Nabeyin also provide an input.
Their is one feature and it happens to be MURS. On all of the Label 3:16 releases, MURS has had a feature or two on the projects and every verse from the Living Legend has been a masterpiece.
“Pterodactyl Jones” will arrive Nov. 11, pre-order it now on iTUnes at https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/pterodactyl-jones/id934112831.
Shady Records announced what their next release will consist of, a double disc album that will have new joints plus well known classics. Set to be released Nov. 24, the first disc of “Shady XV” will feature new tracks from Shady Records’ artists such as Eminem, Yelawolf, SlaughterHouse, and D12. The second disc will feature a trip down memory lane with songs from artists already mentioned but also including 50 Cent and Obie Trice.
Delving deeper into it, the first disc will go as follows: Disc X 1) Eminem – Shady XV 2) Slaughterhouse – Psychopath Killer (Ft. Eminem & Yelawolf) 3) Eminem – Die Alone (Ft. Kobe) 4) Bad Meets Evil – Vegas 5) Slaughterhouse – Ya’ll Ready Know 6) Eminem – Guts Over Fear (Ft. Sia) 7) Yelawolf – Down 8) D12 – Bane 9) Eminem – Fine Line 10) Skylar Grey, Eminem & Yelawolf – Twisted 11) Eminem – Right For Me 12) Eminem, Royce Da 5’9″, Big Sean, Danny Brown, Dej Loaf & Trick Trick – Detroit vs. Everybody
The last track will be produced by Statik Selektah according to a tweet, https://twitter.com/StatikSelekt/status/527515370362765312.
Eminem should be on all of the tracks except for track 5, 7 and possibly 8.
The only track available so far is “Guts Over Fear” by Eminem featuring Sia, listen to it below.
There is a lot to be hyped for regarding this disc because it brings together a lot of dope artists, whether it’s Yelawolf and Eminem together with Slaughterhouse, Royce Da 5’9″ and Eminem back as Bad Meets Evil, and then there is the all Detroit track.
The second disc is as follows:
Disc V 1) 50 Cent – I Get Money 2) D12 – Purple Pills 3) Eminem – Lose Yourself 4) Obie Trice, Kuniva, Bobby Creekwater, Ca$his & Stat Quo – Cry Now (Shady Remix) 5) Yelawolf – Let’s Roll (Ft. Kid Rock) 6) Slaughterhouse – Hammer Dance 7) 50 Cent – P.I.M.P. 8) Eminem, 50 Cent, Ca$his & Lloyd Banks – You Don’t Know 9) D12 – My Band 10) Obie Trice – Wanna Know 11) 50 Cent – Wanksta 12) Obie Trice – The Setup (Ft. Nate Dogg) 13) 50 Cent – In Da Club 14) D12 – Fight Music 15) Yelawolf – Pop The Trunk Bonus Track: Eminem – Lose Yourself (Original Demo Version)
This is a bit of a surprise since it features little of Eminem, it’s dope that it features Shady’s biggest artist 50 Cent even though Curtis Jackson isn’t part of the label anymore. This disc will be a good way for those unfamiliar with what Shady has done to become acquainted quickly.
Keep an eye out for more previews from the “Shady XV” release as well as “Pterodactyl Jones” in the next few weeks.
