WATCHOUT: Sasha Bach (DK)
Writer: Kristoffer Rye Geer
On August 23rd 2013 Sasha Bach released his single “The One Who Had It All”, and what a single, This thoroughly made piece, seems to be based on the theme “The relationship didn’t work, and now I’ll write a tune about how I felt during the relationship”. Capturing the anger and frustration of a time filled with struggle and conflict is not easy, but with a mix of melancholic strings, and aggressive drums with an electronic feel, Sasha mesmerizes you, and makes you want to burst into a roar at the ex-girlfriend you might, or might not have.
Let’s get back to the first adjective I applied to the single “The One Who Had It All”. I called Sasha Bachs single a “thoroughly made piece”. “Thoroughly” is the first thing that comes to mind, when you listen to Sashas single. To comprehend the amount of work hours put into this project, you will have to watch the video made to accompany Sasha’s already amazing production. This well produced tune was made by the upcoming production/label record LABELLABEl. With a talent such as SASHAs in their family, we can be sure to expect great things from LABELABEL.
Sasha’s electronic feel, mixed with the deep emotion of the beautiful tenor voice will get you going, and hopefully he’ll be filling the halls of Radar, Voxhall or Backstage this autumn. Sooner rather than later Sasha Bach will be one of the sounds of Aarhus.
