The icy air brushed against her hardened skin as soft as lambs wool. The jump from the mountain’s outcrop - actually an assembly of massive rocks scraping at Hueco Mundo’s sky - would have scared and most likely killed anyone that was human. It was good that Harribel was not one.
Boot-clad feet landed nimbly on the ground, her reiatsu moving the loose sand and balancing her form so she wouldn't stumble. It was done smoothly and with such effortlessness, easily showing her innate affinity with her own power. It should be so-- the queen of the bone white desert had learned to control her reiatsu a very long time ago.
Tier Harribel, former Tres Espada of Sousuke Aizen’s army and self appointed ruler of his former bastion Las Noche and the surrounding land of Hueco Mundo, stretched her long legged body, golden braids snapping within the grip of the harsh wind. She was without her Fracciones. The female Arrancar were usually with her when she left the safety of Las Noche’s walls.
But not today.
Closing in on the feeling, which had led her here, the tall woman had left her desert home in a rush. Only a few things would bring on such haste. The return of her once trusted leader... or the appearance of another Espada. The former had been taken away by the Shinigami and the blonde sincerily hoped he would stay far from her chosen home. He was too much of a danger-- and she did not think she could confront him and leave alive a second time. The reiatsu, an energy which vibrated almost physically over her smooth skin, was strong. So strong it lifted the tiny blonde hairs on her arms and brought a shiver to her spine. Especially now that she closed in on it.
Quick strides eating up the distance between the shark and her intended destination. The original of the reiatsu must lie beyond the next mountainous dune. That is what she thought, as she hurried on.
Her green eyes widened at the sight of the equally long legged male as she made her way over the top of.the dune. His name echoed within her mind while her mouth was not as eloquent as she hoped.
“You.”
