In 2011, forty women in Burnaby played a continuous hockey game for 243 hours and 5 minutes (10 days) to raise awareness and money for cystic fibrosis research.  By the time the game was over they had raised $165,000 and set the world record.

The documentary, Lace Bite, chronicles their endeavor.
