✣ ——— “Yes. You see this scar right here.” Pointing to the smooth pinkish white line over his left forearm. It stood out against his regular skin tone and sans the very light hairs that surrounded it. Finger running across it as he retold the story of how he had saved a few kids when he was eleven from a window that had fallen out during a construction project outside where they all played. Pushing the kids out of the way as he saw the glass fall. Landing on him. The shards mostly missing him except where the scar was at.

                   “I didn’t feel anything at that moment until all the other kids and the adults all saw the state of my arm and this big piece of glass sticking out like some blade. I got to stay in a hospital for half a day. I got ice cream later too.”

fugo had been going through valentine’s papers rather casually. he remembered these types of assignments while he worked on finishing his core curriculum. things like; general world history and algebra were among the rabble. in fugo’s first year at college he took seventeen credit hours in his first semester and then seventeen right afterwards. “just because i told you that i went to college at age 13 does’t really mean that i actually graduated from said institution.” it felt like such a shame knowing that some of those credit hours won’t carry over. 

“but if you want me to help you with some of these, or be a tutor i can.”

❝My face!❞

Secco wailed as he tried making the wound go away by flicking a gloved hand against it. When that didn’t work, the oddly-behaved man tried reaching his tongue towards his cheek to lick away the blood. None of these tactics are WORKING! Why is the injury still there?! This distressed the Stand user further. He actually began wheezing, as a result. 

He can’t do his work PROPERLY when in this state!

✣ ——— Wiping the small ketchup covered crumb with the serviette he was given at the fast food place they went to. He really couldn’t lie to Valentine. The deed was done and over with and he now had to face the consequences of his action.

                                                    “Non.” 

                And of course he had to flake out and flat out lie to her. He smiled as if he didn’t just deny he ate her tater tots. That he purposely reached down into her own brown bag of food and eat half of her meal. If he’d known he was that hungry in the first place he would’ve ordered twice the amount for himself. “Why’d you ask that?”

“Leave you alone? But you’re the one that stole my phone! Give it back, you little brat! Can’t you hear it’s been ringing for the past five minutes?! God, he’s going to be fucking annoyed at me because of you.”

Yet it wasn’t a phone he was reaching for, actually, it just seemed to be the wallet she was holding. He tried to make a swipe for it whilst avoiding actually touching her, out of his own preference than anything. People had germs. Kids especially, always playing with bugs and in the mud and outside. 

He managed, at least, to grab a bit of the currency sticking out of it, plugging one finger into his ear and slamming the dollar bill to his other.

“Hello, hello, Boss?” A pause, then Doppio’s face finally relaxes, turning away and completely ignoring the teen he had been antagonising moments ago.

“ – Ah, yes, I’ve.. hold on, let me get to someplace more secure..”

Definitely a strange encounter.. and it didn’t look like he was going to give back that dollar anytime soon either.
