We fought a battle .. but we lost

I am very heartbroken right now. Writing this is one of the hardest things ever happening. After days of battling, praying, crying & hoping I have to announce that my sister did not make it.

Emily was a victim of robbery & violence. The fact that she was at the wrong place at the wrong time randomly is one of the most heartbreaking things I will probably ever witness. A lot of times I wished that I didn’t convince her to move to New York, this feeling is now stronger than ever. My little Sister is ... was one of the most amazing people I know. Usually the younger sister looks up to the older one but for me it was the other way round. Emily’s passion for things she did, ambition in her job, kindness towards people, loyalty to friends .. is something I deeply respect. Just like other siblings we also had our differences & fights about the most pathetic things. I got mad a ton of times whenever she took my stuff, mocked me or gave a sarcastic comment to whatever I did. I would give everything to hear even one of those things again.

I want to thank everyone who has sent me their prayers and love, via tumblr or per text. I appreciate every kind word & support. I did not expect this.

Emily, I miss you so much already. Give Daddy a big hug & tell him that I love him.
