Arielle: “Are you going to ask how Aubree is at least?”
Demeter: “Yes...”
Demeter: *sheepishly* “I don’t know...”
Arielle: “For exactly this. This is what I didn’t want. My little niece going into the fucking foster system. She’s tiny Demi, she barely does anything she should be at her age, she’s so behind compared to Evie-”
Demeter: “See I knew you’d always compare her to your kid. We all know it. Your kid is soooo much better than mine. Evie’s so cute. Evie’s so smart. We get it, Arielle. Your kid is perfect and mines not good enough”

Codie: “Mrs Walker. Congratulations! I know its your wedding night and you’re busy...Doing nothing. I was hoping I’d be able to have a quick talk with you”
Arielle: “Anything Mother in law”
Codie: “Thats never going to get old” *Laughs*
Arielle: “Whats up?”
Codie: “Child Protection Services came to my door yesterday morning-”
Arielle: “Aubree?”
Codie: “Yes. Demi is skating on thin ice with CPS right now, she’s being held for neglect and Aubree will be going into the state care any day now. I’ve been given a week to make a decision on whether Knox and I will foster her for three months or not. But we really can’t-”
Arielle: “What do you mean? you’re just going to have her disappear into the system?”
Arielle: “Oh my god. Do it as soon as you get home! Please I beg you, we have to get her back. I’ve worried about her for so long. Bring Demi with her, I don’t even care. I just want them both safe”
Codie: “I know darling I know. But Demi refuses to see what shes not doing for her child. Aubree shes so behind and she just doesn’t see that. All she thinks about is her boyfriend-”
Arielle: “He hits her doesn’t he? Her bruises never add up”
Codie: “Oh. You do know? Yes, but time and time again she goes back... She doesn’t see how much I care for her”
