not a picture(s) i know 😞 but this is my all time favorite moment of jack with a child that’s not his own. iirc this is his niece/god-daughter victoria. it’s so reminiscent of jack’s tenderness with his children; he’s going to her, reaching down for her, arms stretched to embrace her. i just adore it - it’s an action you rarely (if ever) see him do for anyone other than caroline & john

it was rare that jack would get mad, almost everyone who knew him says so; they frequently describe how easygoing he was, and how forgiving he’d be, never holding a grudge and almost never getting truly angry. however, the few times that we know for certain that he did get upset, i think we can use the blanket term of “lack of common sense” as the reason why

that famous recorded phone call where he says “this is obviously a fuck up!” was because of the purchasing and publicizing of furniture using the airforce’s money which would mean congress could say they were using their money improperly and cut their budget; or when campaigning and being constantly bombarded with “the religious issue” despite the fact that he had already been working in government with no problem or questions about him being a catholic up until his run for presidency; these things can be categorized as issues that simply need a bit of critical thinking to be resolved on their own, and i think jack got easily irritated when lack of thought directly effected him.

that’s another important part to note: he never got angry if it didn’t directly impact his life. he was rather selfish in that regard; if he didn’t deem it close enough to truly effect his day to day life, he didn’t waste what little emotional availability he had on it!
