It was a beautiful day, and with the girls running rampant in the house, Lill had decided to take them outside, to let them spend their energy in the park in an attempt to keep her possessions in one piece. It was an adventure on its own to keep the girls from running away from her in different directions, but in the end, she had managed to do just that.
She plopped down on one of the park benches, and dropped the bag she was carrying on the ground at her feet. She had come prepared with snacks and drinks, but that did mean she was lugging around a heavy bag. Sighing, she let herself rest back against the bench, glancing to her left and smiling at the person sitting next to her.
“Hi,” she said, a little wave of her hand, before she turned her gaze back on the girls, who were by now running around the playground like maniacs. “One of them yours?” She asked, gesturing vaguely towards all the kids on the playground. “Or are you just here cause you don’t have enough screaming in your daily life.” It was an attempt at being funny, but it had almost seemed like she’d lost her sense of humor when she got the girls. Some of her friends had told her dat this was ‘mom humor’, a side branch of ‘dad humor’.
