[Open starter; canon storyline]

The caffine in her system was slowly coming to an end and reminding her that she'd been awake longer than she'd previously slept, but while the ache in her body was minimal the ache in her head and heart was a bitter taste in her mouth. Ashlynn had been staring at the message in the file for hours, scanning, examining, analysing every hand written stroke, every letter, and every word, but the sentences never changed and she didn't understand any more than she did before. The frustration in her was obvious on her face as the bandaid across her nose scrunched up with every scowl or irritated look that crossed her visage. Her hair was a mess and she really wanted to go home and shower but she was desperate to understand this situation better. Whatever she could find would help the association and those in need against the wanderer plight. But the note...the note was odd. No one wrote important info by hand anymore, prefering to store it away digitally despite the potential to have that information stolen. Did it even matter between physical and digital? These things were still sought after and stolen regardless of its media...but why was this hand written with little to no sense being made of its complicated sentences. The cafe attendant placed another cup of sweetened coffee and a small plate of buttered and jam coated toast with a small wink in sympathy of her plight. She was grateful for the snack and drink as she nibbled at the toast and made notes on the writing.
