Mephir had an affinity for enticing sin I the hearts of those deemed ‘pure’ to the world. It was a silly notion, really, that people thought they could escape the dark desires in their hearts. Even a world like the one of Gray was once riddled with corruption.
And then…there was Pitch World. An interesting place that was unlike any other. He had heard things about Pitch World, that it was a place of darkness and the way of life there was very unlike the one the residents of his world had lived. It was a harsh, cruel place with an equally harsh, cruel deity.
He hadn’t remembered the last time he had even seen the Pitch God. Fumi was someone who’s presence couldn’t be ignored, the kind of girl who could turn heads with presence alone and a stare cold enough to make any man’s balls pull up inside of their body. There was something rugged and harsh about her. A god of gods.
Reficul must have truly trusted him with the task at hand to send him to a place like this. Then again, poor Lzet was more than flooded with paperwork since her last stroll, so he would have to do, and well…he would do anything for the beautiful she-devil.
Piercing yellow eyes looked to the precious documents in his hands. He wasn’t going to let his devil down. After all, if these were for someone like Fumi, then it must have been very important. Mephir knew that it was something he couldn’t screw up.
Usually, he wasn’t too keen on delivering papers like this, but for her he’d make an exception.
It was strange, really. The angel that he had informed of his arrival didn’t seem to really want to go to Fumi for anything. It seemed more of a punishment that he had approached them about the ordeal than they seemed happy to help him.
He supposed that was angels for you. Such sickeningly terrible creatures they were.
Much better steeped in corruption than living with their ‘virtue’.
It seemed angels were just as pathetic as he once knew them to be. Ah, what an annoyance. At least dealing with them would only be temporary. If he could get past this, then he could see the god, hand her the paperwork and be on his merry way.
After all, there were people to tempt down the path of corruption. So many to spread filth to and so little time. The world needed someone like him. She needed someone like him.
Glancing around at the interior as he was lead to the deity’s quarters, he found it to be quite nice. Everything was orderly and in place, until he stepped foot in the god’s office. It was a dimly lit place, riddled with smoke and the scent of dark brewed coffee. There were a lot of papers littered about, he could even compare such a place to Lzet’s office.
Did she really have no one to do all of this work? Perhaps she chose to do it alone.
Judging by those bag under her eyes, she probably toiled away at them.
Ah, what a shame. No wonder this woman was such a shut in.
When he walked in, he saw her, tapping around impatiently. Mephir took in his presence, the smell of smoke that surrounded him and his rugged exterior. So, this was the woman that was his devil’s friend’s brother. She definitely was all that she was made out to be.
Cold, purple eyes framed with bags from overwork and long nights…probably of doing all of that paperwork. Ah, what useless angels he had. The deity wore muted clothes, corporate casual and dare the demon think it, she looked…normal? So normal for divinity. Not at all what he was used to. Well, not with a god like Elux around who wore such extravagant clothing.
Despite this, she had a certain…quality about her. Fumi was a nice dresser, he’d give her that and she was good-looking in a bad girl sense. She reminded him of a certain boss he had. Also, that undertone of red hair was exceptionally beautiful. Oh, how he did love red. It was the perfect shade, too.
For a moment, he had almost forgotten why he had come there. Laughing a little nervously to himself as he felt the divine gaze beating down on his form, the demon snapped out of his thoughts and addressed her.
“Ah well, it seems I am fashionably late. I had to look my best to be in the presence of a god. Someone like you seems like they’d want nothing less.”
