If anyone was ever sad about me killing off Tezanna’s mum, AKA Catherina Oress, AKA The Bitch from Hell (as titled by both Elessabeth and Trismikian) don’t worry! She comes back later as a tricksy Sith spirit to manipulate and attempt to possess Tezanna’s younger daughter Ceanne. Fun times!

Oooh one last thought on the Oress family before bed

Generations ago, too long ago to matter, it is said, but unconfirmed, that the Oress family had Pureblood Sith ancestors. The only shred of credibility to this is the high rate of Force Sensitives born into the family tree. Elessabeth was the first non-Force Sensitive child in two generations, and her parentage was blamed, as she was conceived through one of her mother’s illicit encounters with a Reclamations Service officer under her command.

In a desperate attempt to renew the Sith blood in her family, Lady Catherina Oress desperately sought out eligible men and women from Pureblood families to offer up her sons and daughters as grooms and brides. Her eldest son was actually betrothed successfully to a Pureblood girl from a powerful family, but then he died on Korriban and suddenly, making matches for her children felt to Catherina like trying to herd Nexu with nothing but a stick.

Ok but this theme in general relating to Tezanna and Elessabeth flashing back to their childhoods and building up into the scene where Tezanna and her mother murder Lord Oress and basically watch him choke to death on the parlor floor without a word
