OMFG, TRYING TO SAY GOODNIGHT TO ZERO IS SUCH A BATTLE.
BUT I GOT THE LAST WORD IN ON YAHOO SO I WON.
OMFG THE INTERNET IS WORKING AGAIN.
(backflips into the sunset)
Aaaaaand now I need a new job.
Yeah, so I turned in my two weeks at Hannaford.
I have mixed feelings about leaving. I was going to leave at the end of the school year, but with the last "disciplinary" warning I got (because I kept consistently showing up two or three minutes late from break and lolno I can't keep track of time), I figured it would be better to leave now than risk getting fired and having that show up on my record when I go to get a new job.
Did I like working in the deli? Absolutely. When we weren't falling behind during closing time or swamped at the counter, it was a fun job. I got to muck around with the slicers, learned about the differences between all the meats and cheeses, nearly had the grease from the fryer vat explode in my face (five times exactly), and shared general stupid shenanigans with my fantastic coworkers. I know I'll still see them around when I do my food shopping, but it'll be bittersweet. I'm really going to miss them.
Would I ever go back? Probably not. It's a stressful as fuck job. Like--the hardest job in the entire store. There's so much shit that has to get done before closing, all while juggling customers, temps, and day dots. I'd rather take my chances at a Dunkin Dounuts than deal with that intense of a job again. I've broken down into tears working in the deli just because of how high maintenance it is.
So yeah, my last day is on February 24th after being there for almost 11 months. I'm already filling out applications for jobs around town and in Concord, but I don't think I'll be going to be starting at any of them until the end of the semester. I'm sort of drowning in schoolwork again and (as always) no one in my immediate family seems to care. I feel guilty about upping and giving up, but it's better that I abandon ship now than get fired altogether, right?
In short, being in the deli was fun while it lasted. As soon as I clock out of my last shift though, I'm taking my work clothes and burning them. They're permanently stained and forever smell like dead things.
Gonna scamper out again to go see Les Miserables with my old high-school harem. I won't be on until sometime after 11, but I'll scoot back online as soon as I can! See you guys then!
Won't be on until sometime after midnight!
I'm off to go to a party with my old high school band-buddies to celebrate New Years.
To all my friends and followers, have a happy and safe end to 2012! BRING ON 2013, BITCHES. <3
Oh my god.
My heart literally just got ripped out of my chest.
Mom, are you fucking kidding.
My half-brother gets everything he ever fucking wanted. I didn't get my first iPod shuffle until I was a freshman. He gets an iPhone 5 at eight. He gets an Xbox and Wii all to himself and I had to go out and by my own Xbox because I'm not allowed to play with his.
So when my brother gives me his old 3DS, my little brother bitches about it my mother and my Mom takes it away from me and gives it to him.
Jesus fucking Christ.
I have to scrape the bottom of the bucket for everything and the little Prince gets everything he fucking wants. And my stepfather still won't stop bitching at me even though I haven't spoken a word to him in over six months.
I am so done with this family.
I am going to publish my novel, get the fuck out, buy my own place, and you can all kiss my ass.
I'll be on later tonight, but I need to get out for a few hours. Talk to you guys later I guess...
So I got a snuggle pet thing (aka a skinned unicorn pelt) for christmas at my dads' and my brother immediately stole it. I am already regretting waking up this morning.
