My other favorite part is when marianne is leaving for migration and their hands slowly drift apart. That scene was so visually signifigant i can picture it in my head happening.
Oh man, I should draw that scene for you now!
(...) her hand withdrawing from his like a flower falling from its stem…
Bog had watched her go, his hand slowing drawing back to his side, his fingers still curled.
I had an ache in my chest when I wrote that scene, no lie...
i'm gonna be that bitch and say trolls is really kind of uninspired writing in terms of characters. the idea is cool, but the chosen one boy has to fight the monsters, is super played out and boring. Meanwhile, SM is extremely refreshing and not the kind of characters we see everyday. Female heroine who screams and rages in battle. A "prince" that cheats. A "villain" who we fall in love with. I don't hate trolls but it's not this amazing new thing either.
Like, it’s a cute movie, that’s a sure thing. But you’re absolutely right in it being nothing really new, which I think is another reason why it’s so much more palatable for audiences and critics than Strange Magic was/is.
For all that they say they want to be challenged and the like, critics don’t like to be challenged, especially when it comes to family friendly/kids movies. They don’t like to have the story flipped, to have the Prince turn out to be the Villain or the Beast turn out to be the Love Interest and STAY the Beast. It makes them uncomfortable. Strange Magic did all those things and did it in its own earnest way, and that’s a another thing that critics don’t care for - earnestness.
Trolls is earnest too, but like you said, it stayed pretty damn safe in regards to the rest of the storytelling tropes. And that’s not a knock on it at all, it’s just the truth.

If they aint readin they dont matter

I know it has nothing to do with whats going on but it might please you to know I’m re-reading btsats again. While listening to the soundtrack I made for the story. And sketching painful painful things
It does please me. In fact, it more than pleases me. I may have to lay myself down for a bit because my heart just can’t take it.
Also, it might please you to know that I’m slowly but surely getting back into creating shit and BtSatS is one of those things and it’s such a fucking welcome change from the stagnation of depression, holy hell.
ladybajingo replied to your post: Has anyone tried to draw Draal in human form?...
I accept this challenge
GIRL, I AM SCREAMING NOW. I’m planning on a fanfic that involves Suddenly Human! Draal, so I am VERY intrigued by your take (also, your art is my favorite favorite thing <3 <3 <3

I’m not sure if that’s something I really wanna see or something I really don’t want to see…
Hard same. One part of me is horrified, but then the other part of me is INCREDIBLY intrigued on how they would pull it off, what the music would sound like...
ladybajingo replied to your post: Do-do you have any music that you connect with...
This playlist makes my heart bust an emotional nut i hate it. -listens to it over and over-
I regularly have to restrain tears whilst listening to this, no lie.
