34: The Women's March + a quick chat with Indira Cesarine
Listen to episode 34 here.
This week I share a few sounds and stories from the Women's March on Washington this weekend. After that, I have a quick interview with Indira Cesarine, curator of the UPRISE / ANGRY WOMEN exhibit at The Untitled Space in NYC.
You can read more about the exhibit here.
Things we talked about:
The Untitled Magazine
Making Art During Fascism, the pamphlet from Beth Pickens
29: I’ll Love You Forever (when the time is right)
"I fully expected it to be traumatizing because you see these movies or you read these books, or you hear about the girl from your high school whose whole life changed and she was stigmatized."
This week's episode is a bit of a departure from the usual episodes. An anonymous friend of mine shares the story of her abortion.
You can listen to it here.
A warning: This is not suitable for young folks, or for people who are upset by graphic descriptions of abortion. Please, please listen with discretion.
If you're pregnant and need someone to talk to, please feel free to email me at [email protected] I will put you in touch with my guest.
