This is a Sheaffer Lady Crest Vacuum-fil fountain pen c1941. The 4 3/4 inch long Lady Crest Vacuum-fil first appears in the 1941 catalog alongside the lever-fill pen. It, too is a Lifetime Feathertouch in a choice of Black or Golden Brown striped celluoid and sold for $12.75. A matching pencil was $5.00. Note the White Dot is on the barrel near the section and the visulated striped barrel extends from the section to the end cap. Also note that the section is threaded close to the nib, an unusual feature. Sheaffer changed their lineup in January, 1942 to conical Triumph nib pens, so this model may have been made only for one year.
