I’d wondered about that! But I’m glad you realized it! <3 And, omg, you can thank its-because-of-his-lordship for turning me on to Phryne. I can’t get enough of her! And she (the one who alerted me to the series) and I are going to read the books. She’s reading the Amelia’s now (*jumps up and down happily*).

Sorry to hear about that. :( Maybe things will change once you actually move in with them. Besides, this is probably a bit strange for them too, so who knows. Can you leave if it doesn’t work out?
I highly doubt it. They've had LOTS of nannies/au pairs before, so they're used to the whole thing.
I have to give them a months notice if I want to leave, which is fair enough. I really can't see me sticking the whole year out though. If I wasn't living with them, it wouldn't be so much of a problem but living in their house (in the smallest room, with a window that doesn't open (and there isn't even a mirror???) and sharing a bathroom with the kids) is probably going to be too much to handle. If they were like my other family, I wouldn't care about any of those factors... but as it is, it's just making a shit situation even worse.
