I have very pretty eyes.
My writing has matured so much in the last 13 years??? And I know you’re thinking, “Jessica, 13 years ago you were a 13-year-old child, and now you’re a 26-year-old woman with an English degree and 50+ fan fics under your belt. I would hope your writing has matured.” And I would say, “I know, but self-doubt can be crippling, and sometimes I wonder why I pursue a hobby in which I never feel I am good enough, so every time I come to the realization that my writing isn’t as atrocious as I generally think it is, it is a cause for celebration and a gentle self-congratulatory pat on the back.” *pats own back*
I AM funny, dangit! And, okay, maybe I tell a lot of self-deprecating jokes so that people won’t take my insecurities seriously, but people laugh at those jokes, don’t they??
I like that I dream so often. Some people rarely dream and I feel a little sorry for them because, man, do I go on some adventures when I close my eyes.
I appreciate the fact that I have not been cursed with a headache for at least a week now. Thank you, body, for sparing me for this long. Let’s keep this streak going.

People are frequently shocked when I say no and are often offended. It’s weird.

I continue to slog away at things and work hard at them and have 35 chapters down, 5 to go for revision in my current major project.

I’ve just changed all the names of EVERYONE (well, except one family) in my Damn Novel* because it just didn’t fit any more and like.. I read old drafts and it’s just another person? I’m still not convinced my MC is right but I’ll get there by draft 5007… *credit to Collie
