I finished Accident and am moving onto Ability. I'm actually really enjoying it! You were really good at capturing the horror of being forced into the situation; the first half was genuinely distressing, and my favourite character ended up being Shanna. I really like that Kay turned out to be a paid bodyguard. Overall, it's a really fun story! :)

I like legit can’t believe someone is enjoying this but still !!!! thank you!!!! as much as there are bad parts a lot of Accident made its way into my later stories and I genuinely did have fun with the series. So thanks!!!!! <3

What is Laurel like?

Laurel Jordan, or Renaissance Heart, is the leader of the group and also the youngest at age 22. She inherited her position from her older sister Heather, who was the previous Story Heart before Veronica until she got defeated by demons about a year before the story begins.

In her normal life, Laurel is a full-time sophomore in college (she started late) and writes on the side, often writing alongside her more successful friends on their projects or working on her slice-of-life webcomic. As her magical girl name suggests, she’s equally good at a lot of different creative endeavors. When she’s writing or fighting, she’s serious, organized, and doesn’t take crap. Laurel works hard to live up to the responsibilities placed on her, and she always tries to go above and beyond what people expect. 

However, she has a sillier, lighter side! She’s a popular blogger with a lot of followers and keeps an active fanbase due to her webcomic and her sense of humor. She’s bright, sunny, and loves to engage these fans and makes friends of many of them. She’s able to make fun of herself, and especially of her out of date fashion sense.

As Renaissance Heart, she has the power to create illusions. She’s the strategist and diversion in battle, instead of taking the usual offensive leader strategy. In fact, she rarely truly fights, preferring a support role. This works out just fine with their mascot spirit, Locke, as it means she’s safer than the others.

What is Otome Heart like?

Otome Heart, or Lily in her civilian form, is a BIG GAY MESS.

Okay, in all seriousness, she’s one of the younger members of the Heart Warriors (who range in age from 22 to 30) at 24. She’s a recent college grad and a huge optimist who works fast food during the day and not-so-secretly creates and releases dating sims and otome games at night (single-handedly, I should say). A romantic to the core, she creates the characters that she thinks people want to see, which may be why she’s never made more than $25 USD off any game. She’s pretty awful at writing male characters, especially as romance interests, but she’s convinced that’s the way to success. Still, she never stops trying.

Apart from creating these games, Lily enjoys playing other otome games (and then eternally worrying about copying them and trying so hard not to that she screws herself over more in the end). She’s a hopeless romantic and also goes on a lot of dates, but hasn’t found the right girl yet. Lily is a good cook and likes to try new recipes when she takes a break from writing, drawing, and coding. Despite her optimism, she often gets stressed. The other Heart Warriors have offered to help her create a game (which is kind of a Big Deal cause they’re ALL writers and she’s the least successful of the bunch), but she politely declines… this is her thing to do, and she refuses to ride on their successes. She’s proud and determined, as you might be able to tell.

This all shows in her magical girl form! As Otome Heart, she’s got the power of empathy and can read her opponent’s emotions like a book (which sounds lame, but is a huge benefit for reading what is and isn’t a trap). She’s a fierce fighter and never gives up. In fact, of the entire team, she’s the most like a typical magical girl.
