“Have you ever wondered what Hawkmoth does in his free time when he doesn’t spend it making our lives difficult?” 

Ladybug asked her younger counterpart. Her Hawkmoth hasn’t shown his ugly butterflies or face in the last few days and she wasn’t too sure how to handle this sudden break. Apart of her wanted to worried about the sudden halt in attacks, however, the dominant part of her mind was just thankful for a break in attacks. She was running on the bare minimum of sleep and she needed to catch back up in school or she was in for a world of trouble.

Marcus would be wandering the halls, his eyes scanning for someone to help him as they almost overflowed with worry and anxiety. His first day and he was already making a poor impression of himself by being late. Sure, he didn’t know which room he was supposed to be in and was constantly overthinking his situation, worrying that if he looked on the wrong floor he could end up costing more time.

Seeing someone rushing forth, he didn’t know whether or not the person actually stop to help him, but he had to try. “Pardon me?” He would call out with his best attempt to grab their attention, his bookbag on his back and a small notebook clasped in both his hands against his chest.

“Hm? Can I help you with something?” The King looked towards the other with a raised brow. Having arrived in Paris to investigate more than one darkness he sensed and he generally wanted to know what Paris was like. He didn’t care if he stood out at all - nope.

One would think that the heroes of Paris would be immune to Hawk Moth’s influence. Though under the mask and the magic, they were just as human as any other person. Emotions were still there, despite how hard the heroes try and forget them, for the sake and safety of those around them. However, even these heroes have their breaking points. The point where their carefully constructed walls come crumbling down and their strength becomes a weakness, leaving them vulnerable.

Artemis sat on the corner of the roof looking over the city. Those fools, oh so blissfully ignorant of the monster that was lurking in the Shadows. When was she going to reveal herself to the masses? Only time would tell.

                                “And he had to cancel again...”

       A low sigh fled his lips as he stared down at the text message Natalie had sent him. ‘Due to business reasons’, yeah right. Let’s be honest here his father didn’t want to spend time with him. Since his mother’s death, he was constantly avoiding him. It almost seemed as if he was a backup plan, a child used to just smile for the camera. A broken boy that was far from perfect so he was cast off to the side in his pursuit of perfection. At least that’s how it felt.

      His face grew crestfallen as emerald stared down at the mobile in his hands before closing completely. Head tilting down low in defeat. What was the point of trying anymore for the attention of someone clearly unwilling to give him so much as a glance?

╰ ☘ ╮ Paris was a big city and it was really hard to find where Cat Noir got flung to after he took a blow to the chest from the latest villain that Ladybug had to deal with. The one that got away because she was really good at keeping Ladybug from helping Cat Noir and vice versa. She figured it would be safer to just retreat and find the stupid cat and regroup later when both of the Miraculous were recharged. She was jumping from roof to roof using her Yo-yo to give her added reach when needed when she landed on one and stopped dead in her tracks.

╰ ☘ ╮ She was staring down someone that looked exactly like her, down to the way her hair looked. This immediately sent Ladybug on edge as she looked at the copycat, she remembered when this happened to Cat Noir and how hard it was to tell the true one from the fake apart until they started to talk. She swung her Yo-yo to the side, knowing that it was pointless to talk to a villain but it didn’t hurt to try. She also knew that Cat might be hurt and her Miraculous was running low on power as well.
