Mirian turned laughing lightly, "how about this, if you catch lightning in a jar, I'll marry you." Able grinned, "promise?" Holding out their pinky they gave Mirian a catish grin. Sighing Mirian linked pinkies and blushed when Able turned her hand to kiss it.
Able ears twitched at the sound of someone calling for them. "Well that's my que to leave," they waved, "I'll be looking forward because next time you'll be my, future wifey." Mirian snorted unladylike, "we'll just have to see won't we."
Later when Lucky heard the bet she snorted, "how are you going to do that?" Able shrugged, "I have no idea." Lucky rubbed her temple already feeling the headache, "alright, let's figure out how to get lightning in a bottle." Able cackled happily before bounding onto the ship, "boys we've got some things to do!"
The three brothers popped out of nowhere, "what we doing?" Able threw a hand towards them ending up slapping Towe in the face. "Ow! Mother bitcher!" "What did I say about pooping up," Able said glaring playfully. Lum and Bain both head back a laugh as they said, "not to." "Exactly!" "Your both horrible," Lucky hit both of their head in the back. Towe snickered as his brothers in pain.
"Now let's get ready to get ready to catch lightning in a bottle shall we," Able looked and grimaced at the blue sky. Patting their back Lucky walked to the wheel of the ship and called, "we're taking off, say your wishes to the port to come back to!"
It was to quite for Mirian's taste, and was shocked at the realization. "Everything alright my lady?" Mirian sighed, "yes, would you please leave me." "Of course my lady!" Her maid worriedly looked over before shuffling off.
It had been nine months since she had last seen Able. And it was probably the most nerve wracking nine months, even her rise to lady wasn't. "Where are you?" She mumbled to herself into the mirror.
"Right here love," a familiar voice sounded from her balcony. Snapping her neck towards the voice the air was knocked out of her lungs at the sight of Able. She stood sharply a glare fixed on her face, she cursed and stormed forward. Able looked almost panicked, stuttering and taking steps backward.
Grabbing the back of ables neck she pressed a hard kiss you their lips, Able smiled and held her cheek. As they separated Able whistled, "didn't realize you missed me that much love." She glared up tears starting to swell in her eyes, "you have no idea, how worried I was." Able sucked in a breath, "hey, don't cry, I'm so sorry. I took longer then I expected."
Looking up at Able in confusion she almost choked on air at seeing a lighting bolt in their hand. "Didn't I say next time I saw you, I'd make you my wife." Her knees gave out and she gripped their chest tightly, "why would you do that?" "Because I promised, and I never break a promise, even more so if it's a pinky promise."
She lightly punched their chest making them chuckle and hold her tighter. "Don't ever do that again," she sighed. Pressing a soft kiss to her head they said, "never again." "Promise?" "Promise." "Then yes." "What?" "Then yes, I'll marry you Able." They lit up, lifted her up and laughed happily.
Putting her down they placed a small box in their hand, "I figured we're not conventional, so I didn't get a ring." Opening the box she felt her heart melt at the sight of a moonstone carved with a dragon and phoenix on it. "It's beautiful," she took it out carefully, "put it on me?" They smiled and took it, it was silent as they tied the leather straps together, before kissing her shoulder softly. "I love you Mirian."
