I love that my best friend and I think Azula can be rehabilitated by kissing a woman who doesn't speak her language and who would live in the middle of the mountains without anyone bothering her with her wife (whom Azula doesn't understand at all, but they still decided out of nowhere to live together because they liked each other).

Oren has no idea who Azula or Zuko are.

I don’t personally have a super-strong investment in Azula as a character, but seeing people say she’s an irredeemable monster and a psycho made me sympathize with her. I think people only claim she’s irredeemable because she was “mean,” especially to Zuko, which I personally couldn’t give a shit about. Furthermore, it seems a lot of people who argue Azula could never be redeemed like to claim or imply that she was born evil or naturally evil. No, she wasn’t shaped by abuse from Ozai! No, she wasn’t shaped by harsh indoctrination from an imperialist society! No, she wasn’t neglected by Ursa or Iroh! She’s just BAD, BAD, BAD.

Azula fans often try to counter these claims by proving the author’s intentions weren’t for Azula to be “born evil” or finding canon evidence she was abused or traumatized by her upbringing. Honestly, though, I personally won’t bother. Why? Because the people who argue that Azula was “born evil” are essentially saying that the moral of ATLA, a story about imperialism and genocide, is, “The only real villains are the ones who were born evil and have no redeeming qualities at all whatsoever!!!1” which is just. . .laughably bad in and of itself.

Ask part 1

Azula was kneeling on a red velvet cushion.

She was naked except for the golden bands and jewelry snaking around her body. The big red ball gag in her mouth. The piercing on her nipples that led to chain between them. And for the collar on her throat. The collar had a tag that read “dowager Fire Lady’s concubine”. And the collar had a leash that went to the hands of Ursa who was lounging in a chair nearby.

She was holding the leash and lazily talking to her son Zuko, daughter Kiyi, and her new daughter in law Mai. Who all sat around a table drinking tea.

How did this come about?

Although I love the idea of Dom Azula & Sub Ursa more this could be fun and very interesting dynamic for them.

I think Ursa is capable of holding a power like this if she said so pretty easily, Azula would get over herself early on and be a good girl for her Mother.

Although how does Zuko, Mai and Kiyi view this👀 Please share more!
