Okay, please, I would love to hear your opinion/rants/whatever you wish about Alan in the practice episode 6, because his sweetness and the way he is with Diane are making me feel all kinds of fluttery things🥹🥹🥹

I loveeee their little relationship, I wish there was more!! He’s so sweet and honest with her, honest in his sort of self-deprecating, manipulative way…

And just seeing the light in his eyes when he sees her for the first time, standing on her doorstep 🥹 He’s so boyish and darling, I’d add a gif if I wasn’t on my phone right now lol. Alan has a reputation as a horndog (rightfully!) but he is so genuinely taken by beauty and women and love, he’s such a hopeful romantic at heart

I'm sobbing!? That scene in ep02 where Ellenor and Alan are talking by his pool!? Oh my gosh, I can't, my heart breaks for her, and his gaze!? No, I can't

I love that scene so much, one of the few times we see Alan at home and Ellenor makes me 🥺🥺 I love their friendship so much, he’s so sweet with her

Okay okay okay, can I bother you to talk about how amazing Alan is in the practice!? Like, wow, okay, he may be kind of unethical, but the way he cares about his clients!? Does anything at all to give them justice!? Just wow, I can't

You can always ALWAYS bother me to talk about Alan, and really it is no bother at all 🥰🥰

He is the best possible mix of defiance and loyalty. Sometimes he’s a snake, he doesn’t play fair, and just when you think he’s caught, he finds a way to wriggle out of any impossible situation. But rarely does he do it for any selfish reason. He cares so deeply about his clients (and justice, especially when he doesn’t much care for a specific client) and is so proud of being able to help them

I think he uses his work as a shield sometimes—having power and money and a reputation protects him, makes him important, so he never has to feel like he did as a kid, no one can ever hurt him like that again—but he’s also a good lawyer because he’s a just good person. As much as he denies it, he’s innately generous and protective and sensitive towards the most vulnerable people. He’s been hurt in so many ways he won’t tolerate seeing anyone else go through it without at least trying to help
