Hi! I absolutely adore your post and the fact that you know a lot about Arthurian legends. I was planning on start some king of research on sir Galahad. What can you recommend me? Thanks!
Omg, thank you thank you!:D You are so kind. Haha, I am sure a lot of people here on tumblr know a lot more than me.
I am publishing the ask so that other people can answer :DAbout Galahad I suggest the Lancelot-Grail (any adaptations because the entire translation is very very pricey) which is the first tim Galahad appears. But I also suggest reading Chretien de Troyes’s Perceval and some of the older Perceval stuff because a lot of Galahad is related to the quest for the holy Grail.Thomas Malory’s Morte d’Arthur also re-narrate parts from the Lancelot-Grail.
For something super fun, I can also suggest some good novels about him/with him (in order of personal preference for his characterization XD):
Persia Wolley’s Guinevere trilogy. Galahad appears in the last book and he has a very original characterization.
"Galahad: Enough Of His Life To Explain His Reputation" (Erskine)
There is a wonderful short story in “Doom of Camelot”
Bernard Cornwell’s series
If you want there is also a list of essay on wikipedia but I didn’t read them :DSome art hereAbout tv shows and movies there is the very famous “King Arthur”, the fun “Monty Python and the Holy Grail” and the amazing “The adventures of sir Galahad” which is very old but wonderful.
