I’m thrilled to announce an upcoming collaboration between esteemed astrologer and psycho-therapeutic counselor Sasha Ravitch and Borealis Ironworks and a host of amazing folks, one which began in a swamp and a cave on 30 April and is due to flesh out near Samhain. The aim of this project is twofold in nature. First, we’d like to honor Melusine’s desire, in this time — to have her beauty, magical power, and brilliance known and celebrated. This, in addition to her more accessible and public role as the Faerie Queen in a time where people are becoming increasingly re-enchanted by Faerie. Secondly, this will allow us to financially assist our respective women’s shelters with profits raised in her honor, as this falls within the ambit of Melusine’s patronage. Ultimately, we will be casting a strictly limited number of bronze and obsidian amulets bearing the countenance of Melusine. To be added to the crucible will be offerings of flesh, fruit, spring waters, coinage and bone lovingly gathered (most on May Eve or May Day) by further collaborators and originating at holy wells, springs and groves across greater Albion, France, Luxembourg, Scotland, North America and Germany. A full list of collaborators and their staggering contributions to the project will be released as autumn grows nearer...but let’s not hasten it, as it’s been a beautiful spring and I would expect nothing less from the summer months.
