Hi! I'm really bad at measurements and angles and I was wondering if you remember the measurements for your spines on your Spine cosplay? Thank you!

Hi! Sorry this took a while, I finally had time today to take some quick measurements! When I first started making these I had a plan of how big i wanted them, but once i did the first mock-up with some cardboard I had to alter the angles and measurements pretty drastically.

So, take this image with a bit of salt. You’ll have to fit them to you based on your body size and where you want each one to sit on your back (for instance I am 5′6″ and curvy). Since I made them to go on the back of my corset they sit a bit lower than David’s. Hope this helps!

Youmacon was awesome! I got to see old friends, meet new ones, and of course I got some face-time with my favorite band! :D

Here's my SPG con-swag from the weekend. My geekshot print came out awesome, and David seemed to really like my spines! But I felt bad for essentially shoving them at Bunny. I'm sorry Bunny! I'm totes going to get something cute with you next time! <3.

Thank you everyone for making this another Youmacon to remember! I'll probably post about it more later as I find pictures and things! :D

And for those who were there, I was Lady Spine Friday + Saturday, and 'fancy' Jack Frost on Sunday.

I BELIEVE I AM DONE NOW! :D

So excited! :) Now i just need to fix a couple other bits of costumes and I'll be ready to go!

SPINE IS DONE! ALMOST! 8D

First pic is the corset with the base attached with hooks and elastic (and a look at the V stripes). The rest are the spine all together for the first time! Now is time to tweek and retouch those lines.

Just gotta add the EL tape tomorrow and secure the ends of the spines together so they don't gap so much... and DONE.

SNEAK PEEK AT GLOWY SPINES.

So last night I decided to sit down and map out my plan for Lady Spine. A good majority of things aren't changing from my original costume. The biggest things will be the new corset and spines, which were the main reasons why I wanted to make a visual of it. Mostly to help me plan out construction details.

... And I also got carried away with shading. But since I haven't drawn in forever, it was good to get lost in it. It felt really good and I hope I can get back into the swing of it again soon!

I will try to update once I actually start to finish things! Wish me luck, fanmily! :)

LadySpine re-invented: cosplay progress

Plans are moving forward for my updated LadySpine outfit! This is just a little post to arrange my ideas and see what I need to order. After that, this will likely just be my check-list once i get into the major construction. Once I have some notable progress I'll try to post some picture updates! 

Things to do:

Re-cover corset

Cut spines out,

snap to center strip

attach gloWire

Use spare red for cuffs and neck accents

make red covered buttons

wait for new gloves to arrive

Repaint gloves and leggings

Still so much to do! But hopefully it won't take too long! :)
