Oh, I'm sorry! I didn't mean to sound actually angry the other day. I really love the show and I actually think it's a really cool choice what they're doing right now. I just wanted to chat briefly with you about it because those leorai moments and then super cool shape shifting snake Karai. Sorry about that. :)
Aw, man, no, you don't have to apologize to me! No one does. No one. Everyone's absolutely got a right to love or hate or kinda like or kinda hate, whatever, it's more than fine, it's what being part of a fandom is all about! Sharing those feelings with others, getting into juicy conversations and even debating stuff. To me, as long as it's done in a friendly way, I'm happy to partake. If not, I tend to steer clear. Getting hot under the collar about a show or movie or book or comic is okay when you are in the presence of your friends and you can read body language and tone. Online - where there is only the typed word - things seem to take on an aggressiveness, one that comes on a bit too quickly for my taste. People may disagree with this assessment, but that's just how it seems to me. Maybe it's an age thing. I am nearly dead, you know. Back to the point...I was just addressing the folks who get all riled up week in and week out over details in the show that aren't fitting into their schema of the way things should be. People who seem to be getting genuinely hurt or are in a rage over the scenes, or handling of characters, or writing not going according to their ideal vision. If a show is getting to you in such an unhealthy way, you might want to seriously consider stop watching it - lord knows, I had to stop watching Monsters Inside Me. Talk about upsetting! GAH!XDI really think getting out there and trying to be involved whether through writing to the show or even just trying your hand at writing ff would be a more proactive and possibly fruitful way of dealing with those frustrations! If anything, one would see how hard it is to keep a general audience happy with your vision and direction. The crazy thing is, everyone's 'vision' is unique. There may be some similarities, but without a director guiding them, if they were crammed into a room together, tasked with trying to put out a decent script, it would be chaotic!Honestly, there's quite a bit I'd change, not only with this incarnation, but the other ones as well, but I don't allow myself to get to a point of ranting fury over it, I take what I can get from it - just like with the new movie, lol and in the meantime, I write or (attempt to) draw what I'd like to see, etc.You know, there's so much to like if you look for it and there's so much in the real world to focus one's anger and outrage on...I dunno. :) But I'm always up for friendly conversation, that's for certain! So, pull up a chair and . . . here's some pie. Tea? Coffee?
