What you do is Simmons' instead of Simmons's. So the apostrophe goes at the end.
i might have been taught both? and i hate?? both?????? simmons’s looks wrong, simmons’ looks like it sounds wrong (WHAT THE FUCK NOISE DOES AN APOSTROPHE MAKE), and siughsiudg. so i just jump through hoops to not even have to touch it, i am a Real Adult who writes in their spare time, yup

They still eat fish, dear. Their meows are squeaky because they don't know how to do it yet, they have to learn how because they're still babies.
Caboose winced and grumbled at the mention of ‘babies’ - but remembering that these were not human babies they were talking about he managed to suppress the enticingly dark thoughts that were clawing at the door. “Alright, I can teach them how to meow! I’m really good at it: Meoof!”
