it was the original plan!! i remember there being an interview, i think...? (in my defense, fifteen years is a long time ago and my memory is shit.) it's why we got stuff like the whole "i'll save you from the pirates" bit, and their showdown in the north, and the cave scene in s2, etc. there was actual intention behind all of that.

it seems unlikely, so i won't hold my breath. my only hope is they make it feel less like a "here's your trophy girlfriend despite the lack of work done to make this viable" thing this time.
