i don’t think Gil had any romantic feelings for Lorna but i think Lorna genuinely liked Gil in a way that she knew was wrong. it is weird to me how ALL of her ghoul friends did such nice gestures to cheer her up and she ignored them, but once Gil (by himself) went up to her she immediately felt better. Gil was crossing boundaries with lagoona and i think he deserves criticism but so does Lorna bc what was she doing!

Exactly. Doesn't matter that Gil had no romantic intent, he still should've at least texted Lagoona because that was a dumbass move to make. And like... I do genuinely hate Lorna, but she's also 14 so I wanna watch my words carefully: yeah. You can read as having feelings for Gil, that she sucked up to him easily because he's her good friend and the others weren't as close to her, she sucked up to him easily because he's a guy, and or she was just desperate to fill the void.

Either way it's fair to feel suspicious because, like you said, she ignored everything the ghouls tried doing for her, but she was quick to agree to Gil's request. We mostly see her around Gil and hogging up his time, too. While not canon, it's fair enough if people read her as male centric or crushing on Gil.

She is young, so I'm not surprised she's pulling stupid shit and potentially acting selfish and insensitive. Especially after her heart got broken during a significant time in her life. But that doesn't mean she doesn't deserve to be criticized for her actions. She's shown to seek attention and think only about herself until it's too late, and it's unfair to ignore that and treat her as a saint
