Good morning friends.

The sky is still an inky black, but I have decided to get up so my restless stirring does not wake up Mr. Cottage from his slumber. He had a long and crazy day yesterday so I tiptoed out of the room and slipped the door quietly closed.

The living room is dark and the floor is chilly on my bare feet. I wish I would have grabbed a sweater to put over my shoulders and a warm pair of socks. I took the blanket from the couch last night to bed for extra warmth. I am wishing I had it now.

I heard noises last night at 10:30 pm and woke up to investigate. I found Mr. Cottage home and sitting on the couch taking off his shoes. He had to go in to work on both first and second shifts to check on things but ended up having to do some big and complicated repairs on the camera systems and other things and he ended up being there for most of the day and night.

When he finally got home he received another text saying something was down again and as he prepared to return to work on it he got a text from the boss saying he could take care of it in the morning. He stayed up until almost one am to keep the same sleep schedule.

This morning when he woke up he had a quick breakfast of granola and yogurt and headed off to work again. He took a lunch with him knowing he would most likely be there all day. Hugging him goodbye and watching his car rumble down the gravel driveway so I could wave goodbye.

I went to grab the throw blanket off of the bed and wrapped it around me as I sat down at the computer with a cup of hot herbal tea to begin working on notifications. The tea was so comforting. We girls have decided to stay home from church this morning and watch online so we don’t spread our bug to anyone so I don’t need to rush and just enjoy the tea letting it sooth my irritated throat as the computer screen blinks to life and FB loads.

I read my daily bible section before I begin my work.
