We both cried and then tried to keep composure long enough to take a photo. It kind of worked. Tonight was my final performance with Lake Effect Show Choir and my heart is both so broken, yet so full. 5 years. 5 years of road trips, chaos, laughter, music, and a family I will never forget. 5 years of being inspired to find the story in the songs. 5 themes: A Little Northern Night Music, Rain or Shine, It's About Time, Heart and Soul, and Road Trip. This group is what kept me at NMU and made me love where I am. It reminded me every day why I love to perform and make music with others. And it's all thanks to this beautiful director of mine. She directs, uplifts, (drives a little batty sometimes 😘) and INSPIRES those around her. I don't know how I would have made it this far without her. 5 years.
