Fail-safe Remedy for Boring Meeting Syndrome
A boring committee meeting turned instantly awesome when I realized the drive would take me through Lake Tarleton State Park on my way home. Once my discovery was made and clothes changed, I was off - tramping through trees and blackberry bushes growing in a marsh. Needless to say, I lost my flip-flops more than once!
Note to self: Tennis shoes were invented for a reason! Use them.
I was rewarded for my efforts by watching a rare, Red-headed woodpecker (Red-headed Woodpeckers are much more common in more temperate climates such as the south east.) at work, and admiring a beaver's masterpiece.
Tromping through mud can be tough work though, and I decided to rest on a ledge overlooking the White Mountains before heading towards home - any remnants of the dull meeting that I had tried to remember, completely erased from my mind
