Techno Worships
Much Before technology took over Worship of Gods and Deities had only one way- Pilgrimage. Devotees from far would travel to Chintpurni,Vaishno Devi,Jwalaji and many many more. Hello Everyone..Wiritng after a long time during a very Auspicious time of Ganesh Chaturthi, I will be writing as in todays times how technology has eased the Worshiping.
There are still many Devotees around the world who can afford to spend Money and travel to the Places of worship but what about those who cannot due to many reasons.The best thing that has been made for we humans is Internet and also Youtube.For people who cannot go to any pilgrimage tours and wish to connect spiritually with the Divine, Just view the aarti or darshan on Youtube and pray right from home.Although Once cannot disagree that the Real Joy is when you are present at the Sight but in many cases if you are not this is the most practical solution.
Lets talk about Ganesh chaturthi which is for ten days and one cannot forget the Grand one the Lalbaug ka Raja.Now a particular devotee like me is unable to go to Lalbaug ke darshan. Solution is Social Media where everything is live happening and lucky ones who go post pictures of the Pandals,Idols,etc and also take Videos and post it on facebook. There it is you can do darshan along if you are unable to go personally.Today only My Mother had gone to Lalbaug ka raja and had posted the Pictures and videos on facebook making it easier for others to offer prayers.
It would be unfair if I do not mention how technology helps you in conducting the whole darshan or Aarti by yourself.Yesterday only I had visited my sister’s house and I was glad to see her doing the whole darshan and aarti of Lord Ganesha without any Pandit.It was simple she knew all the procedures but for Aarti my sister put the whole aarti song on youtube and then it was successful.We all enjoyed the Aarti. Add to this now you need not sing the whole aarti if you cannot. Nowadays there are so many apps where you can play Devotional songs also.Just Play the aarti and worship.
Well this is all I could think of the whole topic and all I got to say is that although nothing can match the feel of personally being on the Holy place yourself or say having a jagran with best singers or whatever but if you are unable to do anything by yourself just do not feel helpless. You very well know what to do after reading this Blog.If you want to do aarti and the Pandit is not available or demands high fees just take your mobile,play the devotional song and connect spiritually with the God.
