Opale chocolat
Yita Ridge, Mezezo, Showa Province, Ethiopia Size: H:3cm x W:2.9cm x D:2.1cm A dealer from Vienna brough this material to the Austrian market about 25 years ago. Many of them get dry and beame dull, only a few were stabile like this particular sample. The color of opal is dark red-brown and it shows a fire-work of colors, changing in each angle you look at it. You can see very intense red and green, but also small steps of violet and yellow. The opal is framed by light matrix.
