Okay, so big changes coming and I am in shock. I am so blessed and thankful. It’s always darkest before the dawn and the sun is starting to rise in Sophia’s life alas! This year has been both the best and worst year of my life. I lost my spouse due to being transgender. I lost immediate family because they just can’t phantom it. I lost more than half of all I worked for. I went from a gorgeous mini-mansion to a modest townhome. I went from never worrying about money to cutting where I can to offset the crazy expenses or transitions… all the while paying alimony… I’d do it again 10000 times over. What I did gain is my freedom to be my authentic self. The good, the bad, and the ugly. I learned a new dimension to the beauty of life. I learned that vulnerability is indeed a strength and not a weakness. I learned who my true friends were and who my true friends weren’t. I’ve thrived during it all and just got myself my big, F’ing win this year! Alas! I landed a dream job at a dream company where my future will be brighter than anything I could have previously imagined. That said, I want to take the time to thank my cats for raising me to be the strong, awesome, nurturing AND careered a** bish that I am today! San Francisco, here I come! Hear me RawR!
