Lamalo - Scherzo

Syndey, Australia-based duo, Lamalo, have delivered a gem of an original with their latest offering, “Scherzo.” Although translating to “joke” in Italian, this production is no laughing matter and is an excellent blend of electronic music and live instrumentation.

The track begins with some smooth drum tracks and fairly muted guitar melodies that help the track kick off with an interesting beginning. Things really heat up when we’re seamlessly transitioned into an electrifying guitar solo that first caught me off guard in the best way possible. After impressing with the guitar skills, a short bridge reintroduces a nice use of vocal chopping before the final “drop” section introduces some more lead synth melodies and rounds out an excellent effort from these classical trained musicians.
