My question is...what are they trying to do to their ship's leg? Now things are getting out of line and people are being real disrespectful and Kat shouldn't have to see that or put up with it.
That just seems so much more hurtful to me. Like it's horrible to say, but I imagine she's more or less used to the everyday hate that Bonnie gets from the fandom at large. But we Bonnie fans are supposed to be her advocates. The fact that people who have claimed to be on her side would turn on her at the first sign that she might not hold all the same opinions as them just seems like it would hurt that much more. She's a grown woman and certainly capable of dealing with it, but it sucks all the same.

Nisha I am so angry rn. Those posts are so rude and disrespectful ughh
I can't even deal with it. My policy lately has been to steer clear of the drama and just continue living in my own little worlds, but honestly there is a limit. It's one thing to criticize Bamon as a ship, it's another thing to come after Bamon shippers themselves, but turning on Kat is a whole other ballgame. Can you imagine if some TVD random fan had come up in the BB tag a week ago and compared Kat to an animal in heat? Can you imagine the (rightful) outrage that would have flooded the tags? It's childish, it's hypocritical, it's vile.

I swear we watched a different video than them. So confused rn.
Right?? Tho honestly, even if Kat had literally stood on that chair and shouted "Bamon is the tits, all other pairings are trash, and btw I am on the writing staff now!" it doesn't merit this kind of reaction. I mean look, if the possibility of one of the actors in a person's ship maybe at some point entertaining the idea of her character being in a pairing other than that person's otp is enough to turn them off to them as an actress entirely... I think that's dumb, but it's a valid response. A person can untrack their tags, change their blog info, find some new hobbies. Whatever, have at it.
But what's not okay is attacking said actress, or harassing them for not representing whatever particular vision of the show they wanted. What's not okay is pressuring her to change her completely harmless opinion, just because it doesn't match theirs. What's not okay is making posts in the tag that they know she's watching, passive aggressively talking vile shit about her as if she's supposed to see it, be hurt, and then regret everything. As if that'll teach her, and surely now she's sorry for losing their flimsy-ass support.
