he was a little late on giving her a gift. he didn't really have money per se but while standing awkwardly in front of her, he handed her a cat plush from an UFO catcher he managed to win. she deserved to have a tiny bit of christmas magic.

   ► “YOU shouldn’t have!” Were her first words at receiving the gift. Even with Christmas coming she didn’t expect a gift from the other, all Miki wanted was to spend time with Akira in the end. Looking at the cat plush, Miki let out an excited giggle as she proceeded to hug the plush and then hug Akira. “Thank you, Akira.”

   Putting the plush down for a moment, Miki digs into her pocket to present Akira with a bracelet she’d made for him. It wasn’t the manliest thing out there, but she figured it was something special he could wear to think of her and everyone else back home. “I hope you like it. I made it special just for you.”

 It’s really cold... The girl thought as she walked around the city trying to find any sort of clue of where she was. What bothered her the most was the clothing she was wearing. It didn’t help much against the cold winds. Of course people did avoid her for some reason, which only made Saya more anxious until she sees the back of a man.

 “Hm. Uhm... Excuse me mister, where are we?” She pokes the man’s shoulder, tall as he is compared to her, trying to catch his attention.

With a small fox draped across his shoulders, making small cries as its little paws continued to push insistently on Rin’s cheek, the exorcist waved at the stranger they had happened across in the forest, now looking curiously at the pair. He seemed nice enough, and around Rin’s age. Never a bad thing, he supposed, meeting other kids in an unfamiliar place. ❛ This lil’ guy got lost after wandering away from his village, I think. It’s kinda hard to make out some of what he’s sayin’ when all he does is shriek at me. ❜ Following another smack of a fox paw against his face and another scream in his ear, Rin groaned and rubbed at his cheek. ❛ Okay, sorry - he didn’t get lost, he was just exploring. Ya happy now ? ❜  

Rin wasn’t exactly sure if these particular foxes were demons or perhaps something completely different, but he felt an obligation to help out when he saw the fox crying near a tree - clearly lost, despite his protests. He reminded him vaguely of Izumo’s familiars - though far younger and incapable of speaking the human language, at least outside of his village. A kid as young as this wandering off, away from his family, was dangerous. Plus, it felt sort of nice to have a small animal resting on his shoulders again. It reminded him of home, of Kuro. 

❛ You wanna come with ? The fox village is apparently pretty cool, and walkin’ back alone will be pretty lame without this lil’ guy screaming in my ear. ❜

     Yeah, it was a banquet. Yes, there was so much food to go around for everyone.  But this boy was really scarfing down the food at such speeds she’s never seen before. Does he have a bottomless stomach or what?

      “You’re going to choke if you eat that fast! It’s not going anywhere, you know.”
