Another Author whose work I immensely enjoy is @laminy, author of the Into The Blue and Sunny Morn series:-  https://archiveofourown.org/works/17998745/chapters/42519863

It is a wonderful Gwil/Ben and Rami/Joe fic series inspired by the lyrics of ‘39, where Gwil and Rami are part of a crew who went in to space, explored a planet and then returned to earth 100 years later, where they meet Ben and Joe. It now has 17 parts!! It has everything I think you might look for in a fic. Carefully crafted plot, emotion, fluff, death, drama, smut, some parts even have sick fic! (Watch out for tags and warnings if you can be triggered by sensitive material)

And they write ask ficlets! Most are based on their ITBASM, some more recently have expanded on that. Each piece, even the smut, is written with a level of perfection that they put some published authors to shame.

I can’t imagine you’re a BohRhap fan and not know who this author is, but if somehow you ARE a BohRhap fan and haven’t come across Laminy, then go give them a follow and read their works.

And if you’re like me like I was when I was dipping my toe in this fandom and aren’t really a big fan of the RPF of BohRhap, read it anyway! Because honestly, the world they have created based off Brian May’s song lyrics alone is amazing. The creative ideas this author has, the world building, the dialogue, the plot!! I can’t sell it enough. Give it a chance. It might change your mind, cos it certainly did mine.

And, I only recently realised they wrote one of the first fics I read when I joined the fandom. (I was too shy to comment, especially because I was just new to the fandom, but I did kudos!). It’s a Joger fic, it’s called A Man Who Cried for Love, which can be found here, https://archiveofourown.org/works/17251754, it has two further parts and this is the fic that made me realise I didn’t have a true OTP, I just shipped everyone with everyone within the two groups across the interconnected fandoms.

Laminy, 10/10, would read and recommend again!

So, the other day the 12th of July was “Appreciate the Queen creators day” and I knew about it when it first popped up and then promptly forgot about it. While I’m not big on the fandom, I have basically been pulled in by one person. That would be @laminy.

If you don’t know, this is the author of the Into the Blue and Sunny Morn’ RPF AU series that has seriously changed my life. I’m terrible at synopsis’ but basically it’s a story inspired by Queen’s ‘39′ and Gwilym Lee and Rami Malek meet Ben Hardy and Joe Mazzello. It quite literally has changed my life.

I have been reading fanfiction since around the film release of HP&COS circa 2002 and as someone who has read fanfiction that long, I will say that I have ne’er come across a fic that after months of forgetting to read it, I went back to finish it because I MISSED IT. Writing doesn’t quite catch me like that all the time but for some reason this multi chaptered, multi piece story has that done for me. I am an avid read of rpf as well and have been for many years and I have never come across an rpf that establishes “new” characters so damn well.

I was just barely looking into the BoRhap/Queen fandom when I came across this story on my dash (from who I can’t remember) and I was even less so inclined to read rpf for the fandom because which ones are Gwilym and Ben? (I only knew Joe and Rami) but with Ben/Gwil being the first ship listed, I clicked it anyway. I can know safely say that indeed now I do know the difference between Gwil and Ben and these real people, who the story is based on, are even nearer and dearer to my heart. There are a lot of misconceptions about rpf and as a result people dislike the genre but to them I say, give it a chance you’re missing great worlds.

This world that the author has created is totally fresh, hilarious, heartbreaking, beautiful, and literally every other word in the entire English language. I’m at a loss to figure out how I can even describe my feelings. The writing itself is impeccable and so well written and the little tidbits of descriptions that are thrown into the paragraphs that fully flesh out the characters are breathtaking. For instance, a mere sentence describing a character walking in from the cold bundled up, cheeks red, glasses fogged, holding McDonald’s bags has stuck with me since I read it and puts the best visual in my head. All of this from ONE SENTENCE. SO yes, the writing is damn good. Also the author is a fan of the oxford comma and isn’t afraid to let it be used. LOVE GOOD GRAMMAR.

All of this to also say that @laminy is actually one of the sweetest. I was afraid to start commenting on the fic but once I was comfortable enough to do so, I was met with the greatest responses and one of my favorite bits is getting feedback from my own comments. I like to consider @laminy a friend now and if I can then I should be so lucky because honestly, just the sweetest and so humble. Plus, it doesn’t hurt that I can do some completely dorky in the name of loving Joe Mazzello and I am met with fellow excitement. ❤️

Anyway, I’ll end this now because it’s a tad too long but I felt it was needed. The Queen creator appreciation day was Sunday and while this is two days too late I couldn’t let it pass by. To me there would be no Queen fandom that I would even be interested in if it wasn’t for @laminy and for that I am very grateful.
