Should Mona choose Chase or Lorenzo?
Patricia is a licensed therapist. She wrote a book about her personal life and her friends personal lives. In said book, she did not change their names. This woman wrote an exposé on her friends tragic relationships leaving in all their personal private details, then has the audacity to tell a student during the Q&A portion of her lecture, “I don’t like to discuss my friends personal lives”.
Now ma’am. If that was the case don't write the book and don't use their names.
Did Tyler Perry do no research for what a therapist does when writing about patients or case studies? Yes, the answer is yes he did nothing.
I realize what he was trying to do with that opening scene. Patricia is supposed to be talking about “couples A, B, C, D” and each time she discusses a couple we cut to the real couple, then by the time we get to couple D, we cut to Gavin in the lecture smiling the camera pans the room to show that Patricia is his missus and that she wrote about her friends and own relationship.
Editing is supposed to tell the story not just the dialogue.
