What is your experience with being a hikikomori? Is it sad?
hm. yes and no,
yes because i want to be more open and more friendly, and more confident and being a shut in does not help that. I do get bored, i do feel “hm i should really do smthn” a lot and it feels bad and i need to push myself. i do not make a lot of money because i am not working so it sucks. being inside all day is depressing, sleeping all day messes with your brain and your chemical balance. your depression (if you have it) will get worse, no sun and no fresh air is very very bad for you. it gets harder to get out of it the longer you stay that way. it's very unhealthy.
and no because i am comfortable, it is easy and i am carefree. I live fine and do not actually need to spend money ( i just want to,lol)
honestly for me the bad outweighrs the good, it is so easy to get stuck in a hikikomori or neet lifestyle, especially now with corona so people stay in more and lose their jobs. hikikomori is losing its old meaning, people are becoming hikikomori when they have jobs and when they are studing. it used to not be like this but now it is like , you cannot survive without money, and it is easier to get a home job where you do not interact with anybody, and study like that too. it is different to neet because neet is about not studying or being employed. everyone is being affected by this and it is still being romantacized even though it is really bad and damaging in the long run.
