i think brightney is fun to play as, versatile, and underrated. here's an essay about it. long post warning.

yes, technically she's mostly an extractor and seems to exist for the purpose of letting people learn how to play as vee, but to me, she's can do more than that. her low stealth, high stamina, and good enough movement speed allows her to be able to save any other toon (besides other brightneys and shrimpo) from twisteds by leading their attention away with ease (at least with the pink bow). she can't really distract, but every time i saved people i felt so much more confident than i do as any other toon in general. i've never heard anybody talking about the fact that her low stealth can actually be utilized for positive things rather than being only a hindrance. brightney can be great in rounds without distractors, but distractors are so prevalent that some people don't always want to play the game without them. i would probably play brightney more often if there was some kind of "no distracting" challenge run or something because she can easily become annoying (and even dangerous) if there are distractors.

i don't hate distractors or anything, but i just personally think the game is more fun with the challenge that comes without distractors. at this point i feel like my opinion is really rare though...

Memories are very, very precious to Nobodies— the echoes of old lives are what drive their new personalities and make them into something even partway useful. Demyx is one of the very few who refuses to discuss his memories if the topic ever comes up; it’s not uncommon for him to deny having them entirely, although it’s blatantly untrue.

Demyx’s favorite missions are anything that put him in Twilight Town, because that’s where you are nowadays. His past is somewhat hazy, but you’re one of the few solid memories he holds, and he knows deep down that you’re his most important person— but he also knows that he’s not exactly who he used to be. You’ve already gone through the initial heartbreak of losing him the first time, and while he can’t quite remember that pain himself, he knows he doesn’t want to risk putting you through it again.

Instead, he watches you from afar. The Organization is in Twilight Town pretty often, so he’s able to catch glimpses of you every once in a while— but then Zexion asks who he’s staring at, and Demyx has to pretend he was spacing out again. He knows the routines; if he shows interest in you, someone will tell Xemnas, and he’ll either be reassigned from Twilight Town— or worse, they’ll do something to you.

Demyx has done his best to be as ignorable as possible within the Organization. His eccentricities are generally played up in the hopes that he’ll be passed over for tough missions— and since he’s had so much practice on that matter, he’s become a master of diverting attention, almost like a magician. So on the rare occasions another member might catch sight of you, he’s quick to draw attention away and back to him doing something stupid.

While the Organization claims to focus on stealth in its missions, battles in the middle of town aren’t uncommon. Although he knows he needs to not favor you over all the other background NPCs, if you’re ever in the area, Demyx gets fierce; he wants to head off danger before it can get anywhere near you, but he desperately doesn’t want you to know that he’s still alive in some fashion. You’ll be about to turn the corner and run into a horde of Heartless when out of nowhere, the water pipes will burst and flood the street, keeping you from going that way. It seems inconvenient, but it’s very much on purpose.

He can’t really explain it to himself, but Demyx knows that if anyone— be it Xemnas or Vexen or someone he doesn’t know yet— sets their sights on you, he’ll defect. He’ll leave. He’ll disregard his programming and his instincts and throw himself back into your life full-force. He knows that’s probably not the right thing to do— it would only upset you and make you a bigger target. But if he’s going to die again, he at least wants to be with you once more.

One character designs dresses but they don't think they will ever be that good, and they see the other and go "hnnnn pretty...model!" So the other models dresses for them until they fall in love! (The model could have strict parents?)

I had a really really shitty day so I’m going to tell you a fun fact. I turned on a lamp on Christmas, but the off switch broke. To get to the batteries you have to screw it open which we always forget so the lamp is just constantly burning, day and night. She’s still burning by the way and I’m trying to find the exact date on which the batteries will give out. But so far I’m pretty impressed with it.
