There was meant to be a class in blown glass bottles at the torch on my vacation, but it fell through. Well, I don't have blowing equipment, but I know how to make hollows, so I gave it a go yesterday. New glass, new furnace, new torch oh lordy new torch-- so I kept my work very experimental and simple. Well at least until I was overcome with the need to make a twistie. Which I'm glad I did; I quite like those beads. I had a helluva time not bubbling and scumming my alabaster white, cooked half the sparkle out of my gold stringer, and made one bead that was a lovely solid soot grey.
