last time lady donna noble traveling on her lonesome, still in shock, still denying everything that happened. she decides she’ll try forgetting it all, and she settles on earth for a while until she meets a man.
lance bennet is a perfect companion. smart, witty, kind to donna and all around an amazing match. it isn’t until one of their riskier escapades involving the daleks and cybermen that she’s made aware that lance was hired by the daleks to get her soft so they could finally destroy her.
it isn’t much of a surprise, donna was never a special time lord, couldn’t sense dangerous things like this all that well. she was so ordinary compared to all her brethren that this really wasn’t anything at all. of course, she escaped, one more person she thought she cared about dying because of her. she tells herself he deserved it, but he really didn’t.
